Making a Bang on Bonfire Night at Hog Roast Ashted!

Hog Roast AshtedFirst you set them, then they sizzle, then they make a bang. No, we’re not talking about fireworks; we’re talking about our world-famous, authentically made hog roasts at Hog Roast Ashted!

But as seen at this past Bonfire Night, our signature roasts do share plenty in common with fireworks. For one, they get everyone watching and make a bang at events, only our hogs come with more delicious roast texture and pork flavours, and less gunpowder and acrid smells. But each still sizzles bright and loud at events, and produce plenty of joy for any who get to see them!

The Hog Roast Ashted team were delighted to be out the other night for many of your Bonfire Night celebrations. We made sure to wrap up warm to come on out to many an outdoor event where bangs were made with fireworks, and even bigger taste ones were made with our delicious hog roast rolls and hot foods to go. It can’t be a bonfire night unless you’ve got a good fire pit going, which the spit roast traditionally is, meaning our hog roast fits right at home on Guy Fawkes night. When it is cold out on Bonfire Night our hog roast rolls by the fire will warm you right up immediately. Couple that with a hot chocolate or even a mulled wine (as we are creeping into festive territory now, too), and you’ve got an excellent night set.

For these kind of events we have found in the past that foods that are easy to eat by hand alone work best. That means this year we had easy foods like our hog roast rolls and wraps, our gourmet burgers and sausages made fresh and hot to order on our special grill attachment for our roasting machines. It meant delicious marinated ribs that come with a slight stickiness warning, but it is certainly worth it! It meant handfuls of fries sweet potato fries, too, along with helpings of our gourmet coleslaw and salad for use in any filled rolls or wraps.

Hog Roast AshtedThe Hog Roast Ashted team had an excellent time out taking in all of the wonderful displays and keeping many of warm on a cold Bonfire Night. We feel perfectly set up for the festive period ahead, now, and we hope you do too!
