Baby Showers Are A Breeze When Hog Roast Springfield Is Cooking!

Hog Roast Springfield’s catering team were kept busy last Friday evening after being hired to cook for 55 guests at a baby shower, and things couldn’t have gone better!

Hog Roast SpringfieldWith their first baby on the way and so much to prepare for in just a few short weeks, mum and dad-to-be, Liz and Derek, had been eager to minimise their workload in relation to the party. So, they had come to an agreement that finding a reliable catering service to take the responsibility of cooking for so many people off their shoulders was the best thing to do.

After speaking to some friends and family and asking for suggestions, the couple were pointed in the direction of Hog Roast Springfield, and after a quick scroll through our Instagram page, they both agreed that we were exactly what they needed to pull off an incredible evening!

The pair then spoke to Hog Roast Springfield’s catering manager, who was happy to help them narrow down their menu options and find something that suited both their event style and budget. Together, they came up with the idea of serving our Alfresco Menu, which, while originally designed for outdoor use, has proven to be just as popular for indoor parties such as this one.

Fast forward to the day of the baby shower, our team arrived at the couple’s home with hours to spare before the celebration kicked off. Making use of our HogMaster machine, Hog Roast Springfield hard to serve our trademark hog roast with all the bells and whistles (i.e. sage and onion stuffing, crisp and bubbling crackling, beautifully tender pork, sweet and punchy applesauce and gluten-free rolls) in time for the guests’ arrival.

Hog Roast SpringfieldWith help from the rest of the Hog Roast Springfield team, they also prepared charcuterie boards, which overflowed with Italian deli meats and cheeses; a selection of side dishes that included vibrant salads, coleslaw and roasted new potatoes, along with vegetarian-friendly grilled veggie and halloumi kebabs.

The guests happily munched their way through the delicious food as they watched Derek and Liz open their gifts. The only thing left for Hog Roast Springfield to do before tidying away the refuse and packing up the catering unit was to serve the dessert options, which offered guests a chance to indulge in our to-die-for profiteroles and tarte au citron puds.
