Recommended Caterers For A Christening With 100 Guests!
Most people see their Sundays as the day of rest, but not us as it’s one of our busiest days and this Sunday was no different. We at Hog Roast Alum Rock were up in the early hours prepping our pig for a lunch time serve at a christening. We have visited this venue a number of times for birthdays, christenings and many other celebrations, quite the regulars ourselves, but this meant we had fantastic set up routine and the club organisers knew they could leave us to it. We arrived at the venue at 11am as we were serving at 1pm, this gave us plenty of time to prepare…

Hog Roast Witton for a Board Meeting
The directors of the company we were asked to provide one of our snazzy corporate buffets for recently may not always agree on everything discussed in the meeting room, but when it came to the catering, they were unanimous in their decision. The board were bored! Every month their post-meeting lunch was always the same predictable platter of pre-made sandwiches wrapped in cling film and other tedious titbits. They decided enough was enough and after reading one of Hog Roast Witton’s reviews and making the unexpected discovery that we have an impressive range of corporate menus suitable for all types of professional gatherings, they immediately hired us to inject a…

Hog Roast Ladywood for a local Campervan Convention!
Every year a group of dedicated camper van aficionados congregate in a field somewhere in the delightful English countryside to compare notes, swap ideas and show off their painstakingly renovated iconic vintage vehicles. This year, they were holding their annual get together in Hog Roast Ladywood’s neck of the woods and called upon us to provide the catering for the most importance event in their campervan calendar! They chose us because our style in very similar to their own in the sense that we are very good at providing a little bit of luxury in the great outdoors with food of such high quality, it’s hard to believe that it…

Hog Roast Ashted for a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!
The wacky world of Alice in Wonderland was the theme of the last birthday Hog Roast Ashted had the pleasure of catering for and we knew we would be in for an interesting night with lots of weird and wonderful costumes! As it had been birthday girl Kate’s favourite book since childhood, it was the obvious choice for the fancy dress theme for her 30th birthday! Apparently, the party guests had been slightly perturbed when she first told them what the dress code would be, but as they were all used to Kate’s eccentric tastes, they soon got into the spirit of things and had great fun deciding what character…

Hog Roast Bartley Green for a Cider Tasting Party!
Hog Roast Bartley Green got the chance to show off the quality of our locally-sourced pork this weekend when we were asked by a regional cider producer to provide one of our high-quality hog roasts to accompany the cider being sampled at the launch party of their new summer selection! The cider producers couldn’t think of a more fitting catering option to help them show off their new range to the local restaurant and bar owners they had invited to try before they buy. We agreed that there could be no better enticement than some of our slow-roasted pork to whet their clients’ appetites as they sampled the cider on…

Hog Roast Minworth – Poetry Party
Two years ago, a group of amateur poets, inspired by nature and proud of their local region, got together to share their poetry with each other and talk about what motivates them to write. Since then, they have been meeting up every Monday night without fail and the group have gone on to become very well-known in the local community. Last Monday however, was an extra-special night. The group were celebrating a major achievement: they had just had their own poetry anthology published and they wanted everyone in the community to join them in celebrating! Because all of their poems are inspired by their local region, they decided to enlist…

Hog Roast Quinton – Snooker Presentation Evening
It had come to the end of the snooker season and every year a presentation night was held to give the winners of the league the big trophy. There were also other smaller trophies to be given out for other achievements like the highest break and the biggest winner. A full night of entertainment was put on for all the snooker lads starting with a professional snooker player giving out the trophies to the winning team. This was followed by a buffet put on by Hog Roast Quinton. We had done the catering for this event on many occasions and were very pleased to be asked again. We knew the…

Charity Event Catered By Hog Roast Tipton
Tipton’s favourite event of the year was organised in the town hall. Everyone always looked forward to this as it was a charity event and everybody from Tipton always made sure they bought a ticket to the sit down meal which then was followed by an auction. Every year local firms gave great items to auction off. The local mayor was usually the auctioneer. The items up for auction varied from a wash and blow dry in the local hairdressers to a 3 course meal at a very high end restaurant. Crates of wine and a day at a spa were also items to raise money for charity. Being Tipton’s favourite…

Hog Roast Shirley – Firework Display
Lots of our work takes place through the day but we get asked to host many an evening event and Saturday we were doing just that. A firework display was taking place in our village and we were feeding the hungry crowd! So off we did trot with woolly hats and scarf’s as if was a chilly evening but a wonderful atmosphere at the display. We brought with us a brisket of beef and lamb and some amazing sausages too. We set up our table in a safe area away from the crowds and started to cook the Hog Roast Shirley. Cooking on our amazing machines takes a quarter of…
